How Kasti works
You write. Kasti looks for a link to something you wrote before and shows you one at a time. You decide what stays.
From a thought to a connection
- Write a thought in your own words, or import notes you already have.
- Kasti saves your words exactly as you wrote them and sorts the thought into a topic, such as work, ideas or health.
- It splits the thought into short passages and compares them with your earlier notes. It only ever looks inside your own notes.
- When a passage has a close match, an AI model reads both and decides if the link means something. Most notes never reach this step.
- If it does, Kasti shows you both thoughts, the passages that link them, and one plain sentence on why.
- You accept it, reject it, or write the reason in your own words. Kasti learns from your answers.
What a connection looks like
Each connection reads as a plain sentence. One thought agrees with, disagrees with, adds to, is an example of, leads to, or asks the same thing as another.
For example, "I think best on long walks" and "My best ideas come when I stop trying" connect because both say ideas arrive when you slow down.
Bringing in your notes
Paste notes into the box on Home, drop them in, or pick a text or Markdown file. You choose which notes come in, and nothing is sent until you press Import. The rest stay on your device.
Kasti doesn't connect to Apple Notes or any other notes app. Notes that look like passwords or keys are marked on your device, and Select all skips them.
Finding things later
Thoughts keeps everything in one place: all your notes, your topics and your connections. Pro adds search by meaning, which finds a thought even when you don't remember the words you used.
Kasti can also point out a pattern across your thoughts. You get one on the free trial and one a day on Pro.
Your words stay yours
Kasti never rewrites what you wrote. Connections are suggestions, kept apart from your words, and only you decide on them.
Every AI request asks for zero data retention, which rules out training AI on your notes. You can download your thoughts or delete any of them at any time. The privacy page has the details.
Questions
What is Kasti?
Kasti is a notes app that finds how your thoughts connect. You write short notes, and it suggests links between a new note and something you wrote before, one at a time.
Does Kasti write or change my notes?
No. Your notes are stored exactly as you wrote them. The only AI writing you see is the short reason shown next to a suggested connection, and you can replace it with your own.
How many notes do I need before I see a connection?
Two is the minimum, and a handful is more typical. A link isn't guaranteed, because Kasti only suggests links it judges meaningful.
Can I use Kasti on my phone?
Yes. Kasti runs in the browser on a phone or a computer, so there's nothing to install.
